Du 14 décembre au 6 janvier, les gens d'ici et d'ailleurs sont conviés à vivre une expérience artistique comportant plus de 400 sources lumineuses et interactives déployées sur toute la surface de la place des Festivals du Quartier des spectacles.
Similaire à un « Lite-Brite » format géant, Champ de pixels est une installation ludique de 40 000 pieds carrés où chaque pixel d'une hauteur de 18 pouces comporte un détecteur de mouvement qui, lorsque stimulé, modifie la lumière du rouge au blanc. Après le rituel des anges dans la neige, voici celui des tracés lumineux dans un Champ de pixels!
Ce champ lumineux est ouvert au public 24 h sur 24, tous les jours, mais il est fortement conseillé de s'y rendre à partir du coucher du soleil pour une expérience optimale.

From December 14 through January 6, visitors and the local population are invited to an artistic experience, made up of 400 interactive points of light spread out over the Place des Festivals in the Quartier des Spectacles.
Like a gigantic “Lite-Brite,” Champ de pixels is made up of hundreds of illuminated 18-inch pixels equipped with motion sensors, installed over 40,000 square feet of fun. When they detect movement, the sensors change the illumination of the pixel from red to white and back again. So after making angels in the snow, you can come and make your mark in a field of pixels!
In keeping with the principles of the Quartier des Spectacles Lighting Plan, Champ de pixels is an installation/experience that renders activity as light. The temporary artistic landscape will be filmed continuously from above, and the endless modulations generated by participants will be seen on the official site of the installation at www.champdepixels.tv. Email and social media will also help spread the word.
The luminous field will be open to the public 24 hours per day, every day. Come experience it whenever you like, but we suggest that you arrive at the beginning of sunset to experience the full effect.
