Craig Ferguson in Montreal @ Just For Laugh

Jeudi 7 avril 2011

Think the hilariously manic Craig Ferguson is funny on your TV screen? Just wait until you see him on our stage when Craig returns to the Just For Laughs Festival presented by Videotron in association with Loto-Quebec to host two shows on Saturday, July 30th.

But this time, he’s back with a little payback in mind.

In 1987, as a young unknown Scottish comedian, Craig blew the Just For Laughs audience away, which helped launch his career as a star in North America. Now in 2011, he’s coming back to Montreal with a mission: think of Craig as the matchmaker of comedy as he presents a whole new crew of renowned comedians eleswhere readying to become household names on these shores.

Join the charming star of CBS’s The Late Late Show as he hosts some of the hottest international comedy acts of today before they make their mark on pop culture, land their own sitcoms and/or talkshows, and spend the rest of their lives running from TMZ cameras tomorrow!

Is there a better way to spend a Saturday night? CRAIG FERGUSON’S INTERNATIONAL HOUSE OF COMEDY*. Two shows at Place Des Arts’ Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at 7 and 10 p.m. BYOMS: Bring Your Own Maple Syrup.

About the Just For Laughs Group
Founded in 1983, the Just For Laughs Group’s growth is concentrated on four major focal points: Festivals (in Montreal, Toronto and Chicago); television production (most notably Gags seen in 135 countries and on 95 airlines); live shows (Canadian tour dates for Jerry Seinfeld, Jeremy Hotz, John Pinette, Louis C.K., the Capital One Just For Laughs Comedy Tour, North American dates for Family Guy Live!); and talent management. Its inaugural Montreal Festival 29 years ago is now the world’s largest and most prestigious comedy event welcoming 2 million people each summer. The Group has offices in Montreal, Paris, Los Angeles, Toronto, London and a Super 8 Motel off the 401.

The Nasty Show in Montreal with Jeffrey Ross

Jeudi 24 mars 2011

Forget about GOT MILK. Got Balls? THE NASTY SHOW, the Just For Laughs Festival presented by Videotron in association with Loto-Québec’s most painfully popular, vulgar, no-holds-barred event, is getting a GIANT makeover for maximum roastage! Moving to the epically large Metropolis, THE NASTY SHOW will allow more Montrealers than ever before to get their self-esteem destroyed!

Stand on guard, as the show’s new host, The Roastmaster General himself, JEFFREY ROSS, brings you the most insulting and shocking performance in the history of stand-up comedy. He’s just come off roasting Donald Trump for Comedy Central, so trust us, he’s not afraid of you.

Jeff will be joined by, amongst others quasi-degenerates, Anthony Jeselnik, who was the breakout act at the Trump takedown.

Think you can handle it? If so, leave the suburbs for a change, grab someone as a witness, and get your sorry ass down to the planet’s most wicked comedy show. We recommend a cold shower afterwards.

THE ETHNIC SHOW may have been treated like a second-class citizen when THE NASTY SHOW evicted it from its old home at Metropolis, but has moved down the street and is now squatting at Club Soda.

THE ETHNIC SHOW is Montreal’s most scrumptious buffet of comedy from around the world. The host is Middle Eastern comedy sensation MAZ JOBRANI (Google him…Howie Mandel’s separated-at-birth brother?), who’ll present Italian master of comedy SEBASTIAN MANISCALCO, and many more people of strange accents and colour! Buckle up for a trip around the globe, because this is the most culturally diverse experience at the fest.

The NASTY SHOW will be in MONTREAL at the METROPOLIS from July 14 to the 16, 2011 at 7:00 and 9:30 PM PLUS 11:59 on Friday July 15 and Saturday July 16.
